FAQ
Q: Do you have outfits and wraps for the baby?
A: Babe, I have it all. Take a peek at the images of our studio to get an idea of how much stuff I have to use for you! You do not need to worry about bringing anything to your session other than yourself and your baby (and maybe pants). We will discuss beforehand your preferred colors and themes and everything will be set up and ready to go when you arrive. If there is a special item you want to bring from home, that is always welcomed, too. I even offer my client closet if you just feel like you have nothing that fits or makes you feel beautiful. I got you!
Q: Does the $200 session fee include all the images?
A: The session fee does not include any digital images. By structuring my sessions this way, I am being paid for my time and expertise, and then you can choose only what you love from your galleries! Rather than having hundreds of mediocre images sitting on your computer, you have the opportunity to pick the absolutely best of the best and showcase those images through products and prints! The packages I have created lets you get the digital images you want in addition to heirloom quality products. I do offer the option to purchase only digital images, but I know you'll fall in love with my amazing products and need them in your home.
Q: What do my family and I wear for our session?
A: Styling is one of my favorite things to do for sessions. I know this can be overwhelming! I offer some advice in my session tips, but also offer full styling for your session if you so choose! Let me know if you want to add this to your session. I also have tons of gowns and outfits to choose from for both mamas and children. Generally, sticking to a color palette rather than all wearing one color is a great start!
Q: What is the turn around time for images?
A: Once you have your viewing appointment and choose your final images, I will deliver your final images and proofs of albums within two weeks. Products and prints can take up to one month after ordering to arrive. Your soft-proofed images will be ready for you to see whenever you schedule your viewing appointment after the session.
Q: How do we view our images?
A: After your session, I will reach out with further explanations of the next steps. You will have the option to do an in-person viewing appointment or Zoom viewing appointment. We will decide together what collection will work best for your needs and get you some gorgeous art for your home! The viewing appointments are offered at various times throughout the day to accommodate different scheduling needs.
Q: What if my child is having a bad morning?
A: Bring them in and let me work my magic. Sometimes, kiddies just need a change of scenery and pace to turn around their day. Plus, I have special tricks up my sleeve to help connect with each child I meet. If your child is sick, that's another story. Please let me know asap and we will get you rescheduled. We definitely don't want any illnesses brought into the studio and want your little one to feel their best! I also am a big fan of bribery (just wait until I give the go ahead in your session).
Q: How soon should I book a pregnancy or newborn session?
A: I recommend scheduling at least 3 months prior to your due date. It is best to book both sessions at the same time so you can receive the free session fee for your pregnancy session! I love to do pregnancy sessions between 28-34 weeks and newborn sessions are typically done within the first 3 weeks after birth. As long as you stay in contact with me and let me know when the little bub arrives, we will be ready to go!
Q: Where do you hold your sessions?
A: I go everywhere! It really depends on the type of session you are looking for. All posed newborn sessions are held in my beautiful studio in Monroeville, PA. This is because I have SO MUCH STUFF that it is nearly impossible to bring it all to you. It is also a nice little day out for you to be pampered and relaxed while professionals care for and photograph your nugget. I do offer in-home newborn sessions as well, though. For these, I will come to your home and photograph your family in a more relaxed, lifestyle type of session (we can also do lifestyle type sessions in studio if your home feels too chaotic). Lifestyle sessions are amazing to really get those snuggly, interactive images. I don't provide any props for in-home sessions, because they are centered on your family together. Birthday cake smash sessions take place in the studio to help maintain the mess. I provide a smash outfit, cake, and full set up! These are often involved and take extra time to put together with lots of props and accessories. By holding them in my studio, I have everything prepped and ready to go as soon as you arrive. This is especially helpful for this age as their interest is only maintained for a short period of time. For other types of sessions, such as pregnancy or family sessions, you have the choice to use my studio or meet at a local park. We will decide together what will work best to bring your vision to life! Other than a very limited few weekend dates, I photograph on weekdays only.
Q: What if I need to reschedule my session?
A: Rescheduling must be done within 48 hours for non-illness related issues. If a family member seems to be getting sick, please let me know asap and we will figure out a time to get you rescheduled. I allow for ONE reschedule with your paid retainer fee. After your first reschedule, you will be required to pay a second session fee in order to schedule again. Illnesses are a special circumstance and we will work together to find a time to reschedule. As mentioned above, we definitely do not want anyone sick coming into the studio where lots of children, babies, and families come through. Thank you!
